The Black Room is the gallery’s experimental space, a parallel program where projects can exist with greater intimacy, tension, and freedom.

Originally created for a site-specific installation, the room was painted entirely black almost by accident. What began as a temporary gesture transformed the atmosphere completely, revealing a new way of experiencing contemporary art. Since then, the Black Room has evolved into a space for installations, video art, ephemeral interventions, and exhibitions that benefit from a more contained and immersive environment.

In contrast to the gallery’s main space, the Black Room allows artists to take risks, alter perception, and experiment with scale, light, sound, and material. It is a space that invites slower looking, stronger atmospheres, and different forms of encounter between artwork and viewer.
