The contemporary art galleries of Marbella joined together a few years ago to form the association MUAC (Union of Contemporary Art Galleries of Marbella) and are now organizing the Marbella Gallery Weekend for the sixth time. The aim is “to showcase the city’s vibrant contemporary art scene and establish Marbella as a reference point on the international art map.” In addition, this initiative seeks to make contemporary art accessible to a wide audience.
This year the event will take place from 13 to 16 November, and the participating galleries will offer a special program of activities during these days, aimed both at collectors and the general public.
Thus, on 13 November at 6:30 p.m., a group exhibition of the artists Josune García, Roberto Sayas, Marina Gadea, and Juanjo López will open at the Es Arte Gallery in the Hotel El Fuerte (C/Fuerte). On 14 November at 7 p.m., Emmanuel Lafont will present his exhibition “Biology of dreams” at the Yusto/Giner Gallery (Pol. Ind. La Ermita, C/Madera 9) and will speak about the creative process. On 15 November at 12 p.m., the Isolina Arbulu Gallery (Urb. Cortijo de Nagüeles 88D) will host the opening of the exhibition “Deciphering Chaos” by the artist Jaime Velázquez, who will also talk about his work. Additionally, on 15 November at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., the Reiners Contemporary Art and Nítido galleries will host artist talks.
