solina Arbulu Gallery, in collaboration with Yusto/Giner, presents Javier de Juan en el Laberinto (Javier de Juan in the Labyrinth), an exhibition that invites visitors to explore the city of Madrid through the artist's eyes. Conceived as an immersive and experiential installation, the exhibition reflects the energy and relentless pace of the capital, as well as its capacity for constant transformation and reinvention.
Javier de Juan, a central figure in the Nueva Figuración Madrileña (New Madrid Figuration) movement and a leading light of the Movida, once again places Madrid at the heart of his creative universe. A painter and visual storyteller, he uses painting, drawing, and artistic experimentation to capture the city as a stage, a character, and a metaphor for urban life. The exhibition offers a journey that functions as a labyrinth in which to lose oneself, where each work dialogues with the light, memory, and dynamics of the city, offering visitors a sensory experience that connects the artistic with the everyday.
