Artist Talk: Marie Isabelle Poirier Troyano

Overview
18:30 - 19:30

The artist Marie Isabelle Poirier Troyano will discuss her creative process, her research into Japanese Shibori, and the evolution of a practice that transforms textiles into volume, memory and a sculptural presence.

As part of the exhibition Folded Souls / Plegar Almas, the talk will offer an intimate look at the materials, gestures and processes that shape her work, from embroidery and engraving to the folding, tension and dyeing techniques that define her visual language.

An opportunity to discover more closely the universe of an artist whose work has recently been recognised as a finalist for the Loewe Foundation Craft Prize 2025 and exhibited at the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum.
