Overview

This new exhibition at the Isolina Arbulu Gallery in Marbella presents the work of Lola Guerrera (Córdoba, 1982). In her project La última frontera, la luz, the artist portrays a fragmented earth where light, as a visual metaphor, recreates the immensity of constellations emerging from the small, ephemeral, and fragile remains of nature. Her work is a search for the essential, stemming from a reflection on the ephemeral and the abstract.

Two aerial sculptures made of seeds and leaves, held in impossible balance, become suspended galaxies—metaphors that warn us of the transience of life. In the main room, through a large installation composed of tiny flowers and using light as raw material, Guerrera creates a philosophical and mathematical universe shaped by an introspective and abstract gaze. The exhibition concludes with five photographs by the artist, capturing fleeting moments and evoking a sensation of isolation and fragility that haunts the human condition.

Lola Guerrera is part of a young generation of artists whose inquisitive gaze seeks universality through everyday details. Her work captivates and intrigues, leaving viewers eager to discover more of her story. Feminine, delicate, and refined, her artistic vision stands out and promises a future as compelling as her present.
