Binary Fragments: Jaime Velázquez - Tamara Kreisler Gallery, Madrid
Exploring the intersection of dreams, algorithms, and artistic intuition
Binary Fragments explores the visible and invisible systems that shape contemporary perception. The exhibition establishes a dialogue between painterly tradition, urban visual language, and artificial intelligence, situating painting within a hybrid territory where gesture, materiality, and algorithmic logic converge.
Through fragmented compositions and layered surfaces, the project translates into pictorial terms the dynamics of image-generation systems: recombination, discontinuity, and assemblage. Rather than representing technology, the works interrogate it, drawing a parallel between algorithmic processes and the logic of dreaming—mechanisms that reorganize information beyond linear narrative structures.
Without adopting a moralizing stance, the exhibition proposes a moment of pause within today’s accelerated visual culture, inviting viewers to reconsider the filters that condition perception and the degree of agency that remains within the act of seeing.
Presented in collaboration with Tamara Kreisler Gallery (Madrid), the exhibition unfolds in the lead-up to Madrid’s Art Week, contributing to a broader dialogue on painting and technology within the contemporary art ecosystem.
